What are iMovies?
iMovie is a program in which you can edit videos on the computer. This is software which allows people to edit their own videos and create masterpieces of their own. All you need is a group of pictures and you are good to go. Pretty much anything can be edited into the iMovie software to create a lasting memory. Video clips as well as audio tracks can be used in this program also. iMovie is a program which allows you to create your own videos in the comfort of your home.
How can iMovie be used in the classroom?
In the classroom, iMovie can really help out. Teachers are able to make videos about any topic that they are covering in class. The students are able to get more involved in the lesson and have a different way of learning in the classroom. Pictures can be put together to form a slide show type presentation for the students to see visuals of the subject which is being taught. Video clips can also be edited together for the students to experience more with the topic at hand. Students are also able to experiment with iMovie and create their own videos on the computer. Projects can be assigned to students so that they are able to collaborate with other students to come up with an iMovie for the class to view. The students would be able to critique each others work as well as their own. iMovie would be very beneficial to use in the classroom.
