What is PowerPoint?

PowerPoint is a program which is part of the Microsoft Office collection. It is a presentation program which can be run on Mac OS and Microsoft Windows. Many people use it in the world for many different reasons. It is a very popular tool for use in presentations and was developed by Bob Gaskin and Dennis Austin in 1987.

 

How can PowerPoint be used in the classroom?

PowerPoint can be used for many differerent reasons in the classroom. Students are able to create PowerPoints for presentations and for classroom work such as projects and activities. Teachers are able to use PowerPoints to enhance the students learning with visuals while teaching as well as putting the notes for the class in a show. It gives the students something more colorful and organized to look at during the class period. This would help them to be more innterested and learn more.
